Cookies and advertising
Nicky Scholten, operating SPARQ as a sole trader, uses the choices described here on getsparq.im. Contact hello@getsparq.im or Robert Schumanlaan 18, 4463 BE Goes, The Netherlands.
Meta advertising choices
The popup appears automatically for visitors located in the European Union. For EU visitors, Meta Pixel loads only after acceptance. For visitors located in the United States, it loads by default without a popup, unless they have opted out or their browser sends Global Privacy Control. For other or unknown locations, there is no automatic popup and Meta tracking stays off unless accepted through Cookie settings. Rejecting does not affect access to the site, the survey or a personal response to an inquiry. Use Cookie settings below to accept, reject or withdraw at any time. Cookie permission is separate from permission to receive promotional emails.
What Meta receives
On eligible public marketing pages, including /start, the pixel sends a PageView to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for advertising measurement and relevant advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may receive the visited page address, permitted advertising-source tags, referring page, IP address, browser/device information and cookie identifiers, and may associate the activity with your Meta account. See Meta’s privacy policy and Meta’s cookie policy for its processing, international transfers, retention and controls.
We do not send inquiry answers, names or email addresses in pixel events, enable automatic advanced matching, or track the private inquiry dashboard, thank-you pages, unsubscribe pages or privacy pages. Only PageView is configured; submitting a form does not trigger a Lead or Purchase event. Pages with unrecognized URL parameters are also excluded.
Location and privacy signals
The site uses the hosting provider’s approximate country information, based on your connection, to choose the regional behavior. It does not ask for GPS access, use your browser language as a location, or add country to your inquiry record. A VPN can affect this estimate. If location cannot be determined, Meta tracking is not enabled automatically. Global Privacy Control and an explicit rejection keep Meta tracking off in every region. Use Privacy & cookie settings in the footer to opt out of advertising data sharing.
Storage and duration
The site stores your accept/reject choice, timestamp and notice version in your browser under sparq-marketing-consent-v1 to remember acceptance for up to 180 days. Rejection stays in effect until you change it or clear browser storage. This preference is used only to remember your choice. Clearing browser storage also resets it. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for the current page.
When tracking is enabled, Meta may set _fbp and _fbc first-party advertising cookies, typically lasting up to 90 days, and use its own cookies according to its policy. Withdrawing stops further pixel activity and removes the first-party Meta cookies we can access on this site. It does not erase information already received by Meta; its privacy controls and request process apply to those copies.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads automatically on public pages, before a choice in the cookie popup. The popup controls Microsoft Clarity and Meta advertising, not Google Analytics. Previously saved analytics consent choices and Global Privacy Control do not block this direct Google tag.
The standard Google tag sends page views and uses the measurement settings configured in our Google Analytics property. Google may receive page addresses and query parameters, page titles, referrer information, cookie identifiers and device information. The former custom URL sanitization and 180-day analytics cookie configuration are no longer applied. We do not add custom inquiry answers, names or email addresses to Analytics events. The private inquiry dashboard, personal survey results, resume and reminder links, and unsubscribe pages do not contain the tag.
Google may process data internationally. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy. Browser privacy tools may block Analytics; the optional-cookie buttons on this site do not. Contact Nicky for a privacy request.
Optional Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity creates heatmaps and session recordings to help us understand how visitors use public SPARQ pages. It is off until you choose Accept Clarity in Cookie settings, in every region. This choice is separate from Google Analytics and Meta advertising. Browser Global Privacy Control keeps Clarity off.
When enabled, Microsoft receives page interactions, public page addresses and campaign parameters, device information and cookie identifiers. Form content is masked before recording. The private dashboard, personal resume and reminder links, unsubscribe links and pages with unrecognized URL parameters are excluded. We do not send custom names, email addresses or inquiry identifiers to Clarity.
Your choice is stored as sparq-clarity-consent-v1; acceptance lasts up to 180 days and rejection remains until changed or browser storage is cleared. Clarity may set _clck and _clsk cookies. Reject Clarity stops recording and clears accessible first-party Clarity cookies; it does not erase data already received by Microsoft. Data may be processed internationally. See Microsoft’s privacy statement and Clarity cookie details.
